What is Kraftstationen?
Welcome to hang out in a cozy, colorful, living room-like and drug free atmosphere at the heart of Malmö! Kraftstationen is a social community (ages 16 to 25), where you can meet new friends, get a warm cup of coffee, explore your creativity through art and music, play board games, watch movies, study and much more…!
Meet, Socialize, Grow
Kraftstationen is run by Svenska Kyrkan Malmö (Church of Sweden Malmö). The foundation of Kraftstationen can be summed up in three key words; “Meet”, “Socialize”, “Grow”: When we meet and socialize in a safe, friendly environment, we are creating an opportunity to see, appreciate and strengthen each other and thereby grow as people. Diversities are possibilities. Whatever your background is, your future dreams, religious beliefs, sexual identity, ethnicity, interests or whatever is a part of who you are, you are welcome to Kraftstationen.
Someone to talk to and other support
We all need help sometimes. Kraftstationen offers counseling and someone to talk to. You can talk about anything you want to: relationships with family and friends, thoughts about the future, that you are feeling lonely, worried, happy or in love! No subject is too small or too big! We are also able to support you with other things, like assist you in writing applications or accompany you on meetings with Ungdomsmottagningen, Arbetsförmedlingen, etc. Kraftstationen also offers Art therapy (individual psychotherapy combined with art making).
Opening hours and how to find us
We are usually open on Mondays, every other week, 16.00-20.00. But sometimes we make changes, so please check out “på gång”. You can also follow us on Facebook, where we update information about this frequently. You find Kraftstationen at Själbodgatan 4a, next to S:t Petri Church, close to Stortorget and Malmö Central Station. The nearest bus stop is called “Djäknegatan”. If you have any questions or wish to book a personal meeting, do not hesitate to contact us. Or just drop by when we are open.
Peace and love!
